Did you hear? Searcy, Arkansas won Season 4 of the hit online TV show Small Business Revolution starring Amanda Brinkman (Deluxe) and Ty Pennington (Trading Spaces and Extreme Home Makeover).
Think Idea Studio was fortunate to be involved in this exciting community-wide experience. Our chief idea officer, Mat Faulkner, nominated our hometown and spearheaded the campaign that led to winning a national voting contest. Over 12,000 applications poured in from towns across America vying for the opportunity to be featured. The winning town would receive a $500,000 investment from Deluxe Corporation that would go toward making over six small businesses as well as community improvement projects.
Right from the start, Think assisted the effort by developing the PR rallying campaign, “Ready for a Revolution,” which turned into “Be the Revolution” halfway through the contest. From designing a multi-page digital brochure that highlighted the community, city departments and state-wide public support for Searcy, to producing social media videos, graphics for signs, flyers, banners and social media graphics, the Thinkers were working hard behind the scenes. A vital component to the national voting week was setting up and managing a mobile phone text reminder program to prompt supporters to vote each day during voting week. Think Idea Studio continued to support Searcy by designing and producing t-shirts, wristbands, posters, and web pages.
What a thrill to watch our community come together and receive such support from the whole state of Arkansas and around the country. We were blessed to use our resources to help Searcy, and we were even able to serve as host and “landing pad” for the film crew and the Deluxe team.
Congratulations to Searcy and thank you for allowing Think to be a part of this very special opportunity. If you would like to watch the show and see some behind-the-scenes shots, visit www.GoSearcy.com
